Food is Culture. A survivor of wrenching economic change and strategically transformed, the Pittsburgh region has built on its historic strengths in manufacturing, finance, business services and energy to create a dynamic, balanced economy that's outperforming benchmark cities. At the same time, its investments in natural and cultural assets to create an exceptional quality of life are revealing Pittsburgh as a region with a rich past and a city of the future. Because of Pittsburgh's history and future we need to come together now! The locally owned independent operator is the backbone of our community, and provides an essential element to the quality of life here. Currently there are more then 107,000 residents who work in the Food Service Industry. To help Pittsburgh to continue to grow we need to keep the money in our city. Money that is spent with independent operators stays in our community. It is a reinvestment that sustains our identity and we are grateful for your patronage.
